In pregnancy a well balance diet us to be maintained.Mother is the only secure of food for the baby.
Diet should include food rich in Iron,Calcium.
Bread,Roti,Bhakri,Rice,Dal and all Cereal from the basic group.
Vegetables,Fruits,3-6 Servings.
Meat Fish Egg - Serving.
Chocolates cream ghee,Oil cakes sweets Should be avoided or taken occasionally.
Proteins:
Required for body building process of body present in all Pulse,Dals,Soyabean,Toffee,Milk,Cheese,Dahi,
Paneer,Meat,Fish Dryfuits,Groundnut,Chana,Egg.
Dal is a good source of protiens.
Roti add Soya Flour or Nachini flour to wheat flour.
Make parathas by mining different flours like besan or Jowar with Vegetables.

Calcium:
Food rich in calcium are curds,paneer,cheese,milk shakes,butter milks,greenleafy,vegatablels,
fish,pulses,etc.In pregnancy,body needs extra calcium for formation of babys bone and teeth
Also required for breast milk secreation after delivery.
Calcium supplement should be taken during 9 month + 3 month after delivery.
Iron:
Iron requirement in pregnancy is increased to 12-20 mg daily.
Iron rich food like greenleafy vegatables like methi,spinach,pudina,Aliv,Jiggery,Raisins,dates,Pulses,Red Meat.
All abouve should be included in diet.
Diet deficient in all above can lead to iron deficiency anemia which causes tiredness,irritabilty,headache,weakness,giddiness etc.
To avoid deficiency iron tables are started during the 4th month of pregnancy.

Supta Udarakarshan Asan (Sleeping Abdominal Stretch Pose)
Lie in the bach.Interlock fingers of both hand and place hands beneath the head.Bend Knees,
keeping the soles of feet onthe floor.
while breathing out lower the legs towards the right,trying to touch the knees on the floor.At the same time
move the head towards the left,given uniform twisting stretch to the entaire spine.
Repeat on the other by bending legs towards left,and head towards right.
Tadasan (Palm Tree Pose)
Stand head with feet together and arms on the side. Raise arms over the head.
Interlock finger and then turn the palm upward. Place hands over the head. Inhale
and stretch the arms, shoulders and chest upwards. Raise heels to come up on the toes.
Stretch whole body from top to bottom. Lower heels while exhaling and bring head on
Top of the head. Relax for few second and repeat whole round 5-10 times.
Second Trimester
Matsya Kridasan (Flapping Fish Pose)
Lie on stomach with fingers interlocked under the head. Bend the left side way sand bring the
left knee close to the ribs. Right leg should be remain straight. Swivel the arms to the left and
rest the left elbow on the left knee. If this is not comfort table rest it on the floor. Rest the right
Side of the head on the right arms. Relax in the final pose, and after some time , change sides.
Bend knee and head may be supported on a pillow for comfort.
Vajrasan (Thunderbolt Pose):
Kneel on the floor. Bring big toes together and separate tech heels. Lower the buttocks onto the inside surface of the feet with heels touching the side of the hips. Place hands on knees, palms down. Back and head should be straight, but not tense.
Third Trimester
Ardha Titali Asan (Half Butterfly) :
Sit with legs outstretched. Bend the right leg and place the right food as the left thigh as far up
On the left thigh as possible. Place the right hand on top of the bent right knee. Hold the toes of the right foot with the left hand. While breathing out, gently push the knee down and try to touch floor. The trunk should move. Movement of leg should be achieved by the exertion of the right arm. Repeat with left leg. Slowly practice about 10 up and down movement with each leg. DO NOT STRAIN.

Bend the leg up and place the foot overhanging the left knee. Hold the right toes with the hand. Steady the right ankle with the right hand. Crank the right ankle around in the a large circle, exploring to the very perimeter of movement. Do 10 rotation in each direction and the 10 rotations in each direction with the other ankle.
